Walk-A-Thon

A Big Thank-You to those who made donations towards the Walk-A-Thon that was held a few weeks ago and to those who organized it, collected donations, and walked from Bonaventures to English Harbour - quite a feat - Alfred Pippy, Marjorie Ryan, Caitlyn Short, Rebecca Hiscock, Carrie Hookey, Jill White, Nathan Hiscock, Matthew Hiscock, Ryan Collins, Jayden Hiscock and Jared Hiscock.  A total of $3,163.00 was donated towards the Community Park.  Thank you to one and all for showing your support!

New Total

We are almost halfway to our goal, we have a new total of $58, 031.65!! If we keep going like this we will have our goal reached by the time we reach Build Day!  Thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far!!

Thanks!

Thank-you Twine Loft in Trinity for hosting and donating your portion of the Ennis ticket sales to our Community Park Project as well as to Ennis for donating $5.00 from every sale of their CD at the Event and also to Aunt Sarah's Chocolates, Trinity, for bringing along an assortment of their delicious treats and asking that donations be made to the project for a sample.  The total raised from the event was $903.60 with the breakdown being as follows: $744.60 from the Twine Loft from the Concert; $84.00 from chocolates from Sarah's and $75.00 from Ennis.

Also a Huge Thank You to former teacher, Audrey Smith for "rocking the day" away in her rocking chair on Monday, June 10th for our Community Park.  A total of $1,500.00 was raised.  We thank Mrs. Smith for taking the initiative for this fundraiser and to all those who made donations.

We also want to thank Beryl Fisher for organizing and administering the Let Them Be Kids - Bishop White Community Park On-line Facebook Auction along with Kim Baker and to everyone that donated items and/or purchased them in support of our project.  A Total of $1,535.00 was raised over the course of the week.

Kitchen Party/Concert -

To end off the school year there will be a Kitchen Party/Concert at Bishop White School on Tuesday, June 18th starting at 7 pm in support of the Bishop White Community Park.
 
Admission is $6.00 and will include tea/coffee and a piece of dessert. There will be a Silent Auction on some student art and a 50/50 Draw.
 
Performances by Martha & Bertha, Austin Hookey and Byron Hiscock as well as the students from Bishop White in this jointly sponsored event between Bishop White School & Champney's West Recreation.
Come out and support the local entertainment of Trinity Bight, have a laugh, enjoy some music and celebrate the success of the past school year.




 
Latest Cheque Presentations - Spring Concert - May 14, 2013

Thanks to everyone who continues to support the fundraising efforts of the organizations from the Trinity Bight area in support of our Community Park at Bishop White School. Thanks as well to local businesses and not-for-profit organizations who have been sponsoring events and raising funds towards our goal. It's through working together we will achieve our fundraising goal of $131,000.00 so our children, residents and visitors can have the best area possible for learning and playing.

Below are the latest cheque presentations that were made at the school's Spring Concert:

Left to Right - Joan Kane, Bonaventure to English Harbour Development Association (BEDA) presented a cheque for $1,700.00 for in-kind value towards supplies for Build Day at the Community Park. Receiving the cheque are Stephanie Gould, Principal and Cairine House, Vice Principal

The Bishop White Community Park Committee thanks Ms. Elizabeth Barr of Ontario who held her Birthday Party at Fisher's Loft Inn in Port Rexton on May 25 and had her family and friends make donations towards our Community Park. We thank her and all those who made donations very much and acknowledge their contribution towards our One Team, One Dream...Unite the Bight.

 The total raised to date has come to $2,540.00.
